The Saatchi Gallery is 40 this year and WHAT a way to kick off a year of celebrations!

A whopping 500 glorious floral artworks have burst into their building to brighten these endless grey and freezing cold days. Packed into two floors and across nine galleries expect to see joy giving large-scale flowery installations, virtual flowers, floral fashion, vibrant photography and some pretty fabulous sculptures.

Since the beginning of time flowers have inspired artists. A powerful symbol of life, love, birth, hope and death this show pays homage to floral beauty in everyway imaginable . From iconic record album covers to animated blooms, mini fairy costumes to robotic revolting petals. Starting with 'Roots' and ending with 'Full Bloom' every stage of the flowery process is celebrated.

Total highlights include

La Fleur Morte - An awsome cascading installation crafted by Rebecca Louise Law featuring over 100,000 dried flowers. Get ready for a strong aroma!

Journey of Progress - A vast 50sq metre spray painted mural featuring the most colourful tulips by Sophie Mess filling the entire stairwell of the gallery.

Extra Natural An awesome lush virtual garden built by French animation artist Miguel Chevalier
